雨がフロントガラスを叩く音だけが車内に響く。 ワイパーがリズミカルに動き、街灯の光が水滴に乱反射する。黒と白のコントラストが極限まで強調されたこの景色は、現実でありながらどこか映画的な幻影を帯びている。

安部公房の小説に登場するような、匿名性の漂う都会の夜。タル・ベーラの長回しが捉えるような、時間そのものが淀むような重厚さ。けれどここには、微かなスピード感も潜んでいる。信号が変わる瞬間の緊張、濡れたアスファルトに映るテールランプの尾を引きながら、どこかへ向かおうとする静かな衝動。

この画像はAIによって生成されたものだ。プロンプトに込めたのは「モノクロームの美しさ」「強いコントラスト」「黒の深み」「雨の夜の都会を車内から見た孤独と疾走感」。水滴一つひとつ、ワイパーの軌跡、遠くのネオンが滲む様子まで、意図的に強調した。

重いテーマの記事の合間に、こうした「視覚の息抜き」を挟むのも一興だ。言葉では伝えきれない湿った空気感、ガラス越しの隔たり、夜の街が持つ無言の圧力を、ただ眺めてほしい。あなたが今いる場所の雨音を想像しながら。

Google Nano Banana Proによる画像生成 – パラメータの変更による生成結果の違い

今回はJSONのcfg_scale、Stepsのパラメータを変化させ、意図的に“seed”: -1（意味は後述します）に設定して、結果を比較してみました。

cfg_scale（Classifier Free Guidance Scale=プロンプトへの従順度）：

AIが入力したプロンプト（指示文）に従う度合いを、数値でコントロールします。
目安の数値は、
設定例： cfg_scale 7.5
標準値： 7〜8
程度に設定されます。

Steps（生成ステップ・サンプリング回数）：

画像生成AIモデルが、ノイズ（砂嵐のような画像）から、形状を認識できる画像へ処理していく過程の計算回数（試行回数）を意味します。
目安の数値: 通常は20〜50程度に設定されます。
数値が低い場合 10〜20：計算時間は早いですが、細部が荒くなったり、破綻したりしやすくなります。
数値が高い場合 50以上：より細部が描写され、品質が向上する傾向がありますが、生成時間がかかります。上げすぎるとAIモデルによっては、画像が崩れることもあります。
15以下だとボヤけ、35以上は生成速度が落ちるだけで画質はほぼ変わらないとされていますが、今回の検証では、Google Nano Banana Proを使用、敢えて極端なパラメータで、実験をしています。

“seed”: -1（プレースホルダー）：

AI画像生成において、設定値にseed -1 を指定することは「シード値を完全にランダムにする」という意味になります。
1. seed -1の意味
ランダム生成の指示： システムに対して「特定のシード値を指定しないので、生成のたびにランダムな数字を自動で割り当ててください」と命令する特別なコード（プレースホルダー）です。デフォルト状態： 多くの画像生成AIツールやAPIで、初期状態（デフォルト）として採用されています。

2. 生成結果への反映
毎回違う画像になる： プロンプト（呪文）やその他の設定が全く同じであっても、ボタンを押すたびに構図、ポーズ、色彩、顔立ちなどがガラリと変わります。
実際のシード値は裏で割り振られる： 生成が実行された瞬間、AIシステム内部で -1 が 4294967295 などの具体的な数値に置き換わります。

3. いつ使うべきか
偶然の傑作を狙う時： 構図を固定せず、AIの予期せぬ表現力を引き出したい時。
アイデア出し（ガチャ）： どんな画像ができるか、さまざまなバリエーションを次々に試したい時。

“sampler”: “DPM++ 2M Karras”

AI画像生成の設定JSONにおける "sampler": "DPM++ 2M Karras" は、ノイズを取り除いて画像を完成させるアルゴリズム（サンプラー）の指定です。
このサンプラーは、現在の画像生成において最も人気のある「定番・最高峰」の選択肢の一つです。

構成要素の分解と意味

この名前は、3つの要素（技術・計算方法・ノイズの配分）に分解して理解できます。
効果：生成の「序盤（大枠を作るとき）」に一気にノイズを削り、「終盤（微調整）」にじっくり時間をかけます。これにより、少ないステップ数でもクオリティが大幅に向上します。

DPM++ (Diffusion Probabilistic Model ++)
意味：AIモデルの構造に最適化された、高精度な第2世代の計算アルゴリズムです。
効果：従来のサンプラー（Eulerなど）に比べて、少ない回数の計算でより正確に破綻のない高品質な描き込みを行うことができます。

2M (Multi-step)
意味：1ステップ前の計算結果だけでなく、2ステップ以上前のデータも参照しながら滑らかにノイズを削る方式（多歩長法）です。
効果：1M（Single-step）方式よりも劇的に画像のバリエーションが安定し、ディテールがブレにくくなります。

Karras (カラス・スケール)
意味：AI研究者のTero Karras氏が提唱した「ノイズの減らし方のスケジュール（時間配分）」です。

生成結果への具体的な反映・特徴

このサンプラーを指定すると、生成される画像や作業効率に以下のようなメリットが反映されます。

圧倒的な「生成速度」と「高画質」の両立
通常、綺麗な絵を出すには多くの計算（Sampling Steps）が必要ですが、このサンプラーは 15〜25ステップ前後 で完全にクオリティが頭打ち（完成）になります。
短時間でハイクオリティな画像が出せるため、ガチャ（大量生成）の効率が劇的に上がります。

構図の安定性とブレのなさ
末尾に「a（ancestral： Euler a など）」がつくサンプラーは、ステップ数を増やすと服装や構図がガラリと変わってしまいます。
しかし、DPM++ 2M Karrasはステップ数を20から30、40へと増やしても構図が崩れにくく、ディテール（細部）だけが緻密に強化されていきます。

癖のないクッキリとした質感
イラスト（アニメ調）からリアルな写真風（実写）まで、あらゆる学習モデルで万能に使えます。
ぼやけた印象にならず、線の輪郭や質感がパキッと綺麗に表現される傾向があります。
